I’m Megan Lovell and I’m an independent photographer based in Essex, working out of Harlow. I developed a passion for photography as a child and I’m fascinated by the ability to capture moments through the eye of a lens. I have a range of skills in this craft, including documentary, fashion, portraiture, events and more. I have a degree in Photography from Anglia Ruskin University and several years of experience photographing professionally, including a honourable mention for UNICEF photo of the year in 2015 where my work was exhibited at Photokina in Cologne, Germany.

Throughout my journey as a photographer, I’ve met many extraordinary people and had the pleasure of learning their stories. Through photographing my own sister in the project ‘Sophie’, I learnt the value of nostalgia and the historical importance of photography. In both my personal and commissioned work, I’m driven to capture the moment and observe the world around me.
